Encouraging Teachers to train abroad
The Phytosanitary Postgraduate Program has encouraged its permanent professors to undertake additional training abroad. From the Program, the following trainings abroad were carried out:
2002 – Prof. Anderson Grutzmacher took a sabbatical in Germany (Duration 1 year);
2005 – Prof. Avila – PhD at Texas A&M University (Duration 4 years);
2008 – Prof. Anderson Grutzmacher took a sabbatical in Germany (Duration 1 year);
2008 – Dr. Marcos Botton took a sabbatical at the University of California Berckeley (Duration 1 year);
2013 – Profa. Danielle Ribeiro de Barros took a sabbatical in Portugal (Duration 1 year);
2014 – Prof. Edinalvo Camargo completed his PhD at Texas A&M University (Duration 5 years);
2015 – Dr. Dori Edson Nava for the University of California Davis (Duration 1 year);
2016 – Profa Andréa Moura for the University of Verona in Italy (Duration 1 year);
2018 – Professor Flávio Garcia is on sabbatical at the University of Florida, in Gainesville, FL;
In 2020, Prof. Luis Avila to carry out a six-month postdoctoral fellowship in the United States.
