Diets for insects of agricultural importance: composition, preparation and examples. Types of insect breeding. Mass rearing of insects. Quality control of laboratory populations. Laboratory models and sanitary requirements for work using artificial diets. Techniques for rearing insects of different Orders for biological, ecological, physiological, toxicological studies, etc. Criteria to assess whether a diet is satisfactory: morphological, biometric, nutritional and life tables.
