Course Program

Provide students with basic terminology, principles and techniques used in insect molecular biology, genetics, genomics and bioinformatics. Discuss the fundamentals of molecular biology, genetics, genomics and bioinformatics from an entomological perspective. Practical experience using tools for genetic and genomic analysis of insects. Opportunity to identify a sequence, transcriptome or genome of interest (insect/arthropod) and learn how to manipulate and understand the information. This opportunity will be guided through tutorials for the discipline.
